Classroom Campout

One of my favorite classroom reward ideas involves transforming my classroom into a cozy campsite for the day! To reward students for meeting a classroom goal, let them bring in sleeping bags or small blankets, dim the lights, and string up some faux fairy lights to mimic a starry night. During the “campout,” students can read their favorite books by flashlight, work on fun camp-themed activities, or enjoy a special snack like s’mores-inspired treats (graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate chips). This reward is not only exciting but also encourages creativity, relaxation, and a love for reading—all while creating a memorable classroom experience.
